Who are we?

First and foremost we are defined by what we do. So in that vein I'm Mike Guzzardo - an avid sailboat racer, fisherman, amateur photographer, and proudly - a Real Estate Broker/Associate at Marples and Associates. My original creative partner on 94505.com is Marla Luckhardt who is now handling Business Sales through Chase Business Brokers. Marla (along with her husband Ernie) is a 17 year resident of Discovery Bay, top notch Realtor, great friend, and someone I still learn from every day. Jules Mogensen (the love of my life) is helping me take the website to another level this year. There will be a new look and much more content in the coming months.

Why was the website created?

Since the late 1960's, I have had an obsession for the water and a fun small town atmosphere. Exploring the Delta since I was old enough to sail on Mom and Dad's Erickson 35 "Scampi" , and then Swan 441 "Topo" (formerly "Sea Rat" and owned by Chucky Cheese creator Nolan Bushnell), I learned to appreciate the beauty and lifestyle that has been created here. After launching DeltaLifeStyle.com to chronicle pictures and words of the Delta over the next 40 years, this website is a natural progression. Discovery Bay encapsulates the best of what the Delta Lifestyle is about. We are proud to be part of the community and this is a way to give back.

Into the Future

Our vision for the website is to create a place to help you enjoy the many activities and venues that exist in and around Discovery Bay and the California Delta. It's a website for all of us and YOU have input on what's included on these pages.
